recital

I was so nervous about the recital. It was my first recital ever. I think I only played like 60% of the song because I got so nervous, I blanked out. And on top of that, my hands started shaking and the bow kept touching other strings. It was a disaster! Hopefully I'll do better next time.

It wasn't a disaster! You did well considering it was your first time :) Keep up the hard work!

You look good! Don't worry about messing up. The more practice you get at performing, the easier it becomes. What worked for me was being on the worship team for so long at FWCC. I stopped caring what people thought and was able to focus more on the sound. The only thing that messes me up now is when someone literally comes over and starts talking to me - and wants a reply too (which happened today at a MOPS luncheon). :P.

You did great, Audrey! At least you were able to get up on stage and perform your piece with out the sheet music! You just need more practice and eventually playing will be a piece of cake!

Thank you! It did take a lot of nerves to stand up there. :D I think if I didn't eat a banana beforehand, I wouldn't have been able to get on the stage!

hi audrey - you did great! esp for a 1st time, and on that HUGE stage. that would be intimidating for anyone playing a 1st recital. so glad we could make it and be there to support you. and don't you love people cheering and hooting for you!! :)
